Old Man of Storr
The story
"The Old Man of Storr watches over the rugged landscape of the Isle of Skye. Long ago, a massive landslide on the northeast edge of Skye created this jagged terrain. The 160-foot high formation sits atop the Trotternish Ridge.
Legend has it that a giant once lived on the Trotternish Ridge. When he was laid to rest after his death, his thumb, the “Old Man”, remained partially above ground, creating the rock formation we see today."
