The plateau is a vast, mostly flat expanse of farmland towering nearly 2,000 feet above the nearby Columbia River. The region is known for its fascinating geological features, ancient abandoned homesteads, and expansive views.

I love this area for photographing interesting skies like this moody sunset, accented with haunting old ruins like this crumbling barn.”
