The Story

“The hills above the Columbia River in Central Washington State make a perfect home for hundreds of bighorn sheep. Large herds can often be spotted expertly making their way through the steep and rocky landscape.

This was a particularly spectacular moment. I loved the pop of color from the red autumn leaves, and the interesting textures of the many sheep navigating the rock field.

If you are driving between Lake Chelan and Wenatchee, be sure to keep your eyes out for the bighorn in the hills to the west of the highway. They frequently venture quite close to the road, providing both photo opportunities and traffic hazards.”
